ABGD 2013-2014 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

President, Nicholas J. Miniotis, DDS, MAGD, ABGD  
Dr. Nicholas Miniotis is a graduate of Penn State University and The Kornberg School of Dentistry, Temple University. He completed a GPR at Chanute AFB and a 2-year AEGD at the Naval Dental School in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Miniotis is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and has been board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry since 1993. He completed a 30-year military career in the United States Air Force, serving as a general dentist, residency director and commander. Currently Dr. Miniotis is a Clinical Assistant Professor at LSU School of Dentistry. He has served as an ABGD board director since 2009 and served as Treasurer in 2012, and VP 2013.
Vice President, Jon M. Dossett, DMD, ABGD  
Dr. Jon M. Dossett is the Director, Dental Biomaterials Evaluation and Vice-Commander at the USAF Dental Evaluation and Consultation Service. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1983 and a DMD degree from the College of Dentistry in 1987. He completed a two-year General Dentistry Residency in 1994 at Keesler AFB, MS and has served as Director, AEGD-1, USAF Academy, CO and as Training Officer, AEGD-2, Lackland AFB, TX. He is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry. Dr. Dossett has served as an ABGD board director since 2011. He served as Treasurer 2012-2013.
Treasurer, Nathan C. Parrish, DDS, ABGD
Nathan C. Parrish is currently serving in the U.S. Army as a Dental Officer at Fort Sill, OK. He is the deputy director for the Comanche Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program and has a full scope practice with an emphasis toward the disciplines of dentoalveolar and periodontal surgery. Dr. Parrish is married to Kim and has two children, Abby and Ethan. Dr. Parrish has served as an ABGD board director since 2011.
Secretary, Nancy Motyka, DMD, MAGD, ABGD  
Dr Nancy Motyka is a Board Certified Dentist who is currently serving as the Dental Squadron Commander at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Dr Motyka graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School in 1983 and served as an associate for several years before opening her own practice in 1988. She ran a general practice in Middlesex, New Jersey for 15 years before joining the Air Force in 2003. Dr Motyka completed the 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB in 2006. She achieved ABGD board certification in 2007 and has served as Secretary 2011-2014.
Les Campbell, DDS, ABGD  
Dr. Campbell spent 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces where he lived across North America. He also served in Haiti and In Afghanistan. In 2004, Dr. Campbell graduated from the Advanced General Dentistry - 2yr program at Ft. Hood, Texas. He was awarded the Joseph L. Bernier Research Award for his work there. He became board certified with the ABGD in 2005. He has an interest in forensic dentistry and endodontics, with a research focus in nickel titanium rotary files and their failure behavior patterns. Dr. Campbell has served as an ABGD board director since 2009.
Randolph A. Coffey, DMD, MS, MAGD, FICD, ABGD  
Dr. Randolph A. Coffey graduated from the University of Florida, College of Dentistry in 1988. He earned Certificates of Residency for completing his GPR at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital in 1989 and his Comprehensive Dentistry 2-year AEGD residency at The Naval Postgraduate Dental School in 2004 and also earned Master of Science in Health Sciences from the George Washington University with concentration in Oral Biology in 2004. Dr. Coffey is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and has been board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry since 2005. Dr. Coffey is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists since 2011. Dr. Coffey is the Senior Dental Executive, Senior Health Services Officer: US Coast Guard District 7: Airstation Clearwater /Sector St. Petersburg. Dr. Coffey has served as an ABGD board director since 2011.
Terence Imbery, DDS, FAGD, FICD, ABGD  
Dr. Terence Imbery earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1983.  He completed a General Practice Residency in 1984 and a two–year General Dentistry residency in 1991.  He currently is an Assistant Professor and Vice Chairman of the General Practice Department at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.  Dr. Imbery is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, International College of Dentist and American College of Dentists.  He achieved ABGD board certification in 2003.  Dr. Imbery is the lead author of a textbook chapter and more than 35 scientific articles and abstracts in international peer reviewed journals.  Dr. Imbery served as Vice-President from 2011-2012 and President from 2012-2013.
Daniel P. Lavin, DMD, MAGD, ABGD
Dr. Daniel P. Lavin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1984. He completed his residency in 1985 at Fort Jackson, SC. Dr. Lavin has served as Director of a Comprehensive Dentistry Program at Fort Hood, TX and Hawaii. In addition he has served as a consultant for the Council on Dental Accreditation with the American Dental Association and as a consultant to the Army Surgeon General for General and Comprehensive Dentistry. He achieved ABGD board certification in 2003 and has served as an ABGD board director since 2013. ;
Jack Leverett, Jr. DMD, MAGD, ABGD  
Dr. Jack Leverett, Jr. completed his undergraduate education in Chemical Engineering in 1986 from The Georgia Institute of Technology and his DMD degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1992. He earned his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2006. Dr. Leverett, Jr. attained Diplomate status in the American Board of General Dentistry in 2008. He maintains a General Practice in Bainbridge, Georgia. Dr. Leverett has served as an ABGD board director since 2012.
